This is a particular story. A few years ago Marina Cvetic Masciarelli found in the basement two French oak barrels of 700 liters, which had been purchased by Gianni Masciarelli in his constant search for a new project. In the harvest of 2010, she decided – with the whole team – to vinify a white wine, and leave to mature for 30 months in one of the barrels. It’s the birth of the Trebbiano d’Abruzzo Riserva “La Botte di Gianni”: bottled on the day of his birthday, the 891 numbered bottles immediately reveal surprising fragrances. The white was followed by another red tonneau: 869 bottles of “Montepulciano d’Abruzzo La Botte di Gianni”.
